An Anti-Ragging Committee has been constituted in SHEAT College of Engineering with the objective of creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment. The committee is dedicated to preventing any form of ragging and ensuring that the institution remains completely ragging-free.
It comprises senior faculty members, administrative representatives, and student leaders who work collectively to promote awareness about the harmful effects of ragging and the strict legal consequences associated with it. Regular orientation programs, counseling sessions, and surprise inspections are conducted to sensitize students and maintain vigilance across the campus.
The committee strictly adheres to the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC), AICTE, and affiliated universities, ensuring that any complaint is addressed promptly and fairly. SHEAT College maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward ragging, fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect, trust, and discipline among students.
Key Objectives of the Anti-Ragging Committee
- To prohibit any form of ragging within or outside the campus.
- To create awareness among students about the ill effects and legal consequences of ragging.
- To ensure prompt and fair action in case of any ragging complaint.
- To conduct regular meetings, awareness drives, and sensitization programs.
- To collaborate with hostel wardens, student coordinators, and faculty mentors for campus vigilance.
- To maintain communication with regulatory bodies like UGC and AICTE regarding anti-ragging measures.
