The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at SHEAT College of Engineering was founded in 2008 with the goal of addressing the global demand for skilled Software Engineers.

The department offers a conducive teaching and learning environment for students, supported by qualified and experienced faculty, along with smart classroom facilities. The curriculum, designed in accordance with AKTU, Lucknow, incorporates courses on emerging topics to ensure students are equipped with the latest advancements in Computer Science Engineering, bridging the gap between academia and industry needs.

The department aims to nurture students in contemporary computer techniques, preparing them to effectively adapt to future technological advancements.

Computer Science, as the leading branch of engineering, emphasizes scientific research, computational programming, and software development.

Eligibility Criteria

 For B.Tech:

• Passed 10+2 examination with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship.

• Must qualify JEE (Mains).

For Lateral Entry to Second Year (Engineering and Technology):

• Passed a minimum three years/two years (lateral entry) Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in any branch of Engineering.

• Or passed B.Sc. Degree with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics.

• Must qualify CUET exam in the same or allied sector.
